NUMERACY - Numicon


WALT make ten using Numicon equipment

Success Criteria:
* make a range of patterns to 10 using 2, 3 or 4 pieces of Numicon equipment.





Here are my patterns for 10.


I can identify which shapes are missing when the teacher takes some away.


I can write equations for my numicon patterns.

My next step:
To use my knowledge of tens to instantly add and subtract numbers to 10.

Persuasive Arguments


W.A.L.T write a persuasive argument

We will know we can do this when we...
* say what the issue is.
*  give an opinion about the problem.
*  give reasons for our opinion.
*  use conjunctions to show cause and effect.
*  use adjectives to make the argument more powerful.
Jasper says...
I liked that is put in good reasons for why we should have play times.

My next learning step is to use conjunctions in my writing.

Music

WALT: play the recorder.

We will know we can do this when:
* hold the recorder correctly.
*  use the correct breathing techniques.
*  use the correct fingering to play different notes.
*  can read and perform music with 3-5 notes on the recorder.

In recorder I like learning new songs.

 

My next learning step is to use the correct fingering to play the notes.


Art Workshop

LEARNING INTENTION
Today with Mr Shaskey we learned about sketching and drawing. We learned to set the limits, draw the outline and then add the shapes.

SUCCESS CRITERIA
We can follow instructions and sketch some fruit and vegetables





WHAT DID I THINK?
I liked how I mixed the colours and made a red-orange colour for the pumpkin. 

NEXT STEP:
To practice the skills I have learnt.
